Nestled in Templer Park in Rawang is Villa Takun, an idyllic paradise just an hour away from the city.
A thoughtfully designed retreat managed by IO Home, this property features a harmonious blend of nature, luxury, and style.
Visiting this hidden paradise, we were treated with sights for sore eyes.
A glimpse of the glamp

From caravans to boutique rooms, Villa Takun offers different strokes for different folks, both in terms of your budget as well as aesthetic preferences. Spread across two lots, the property features both a villa and a glamping ground, each with unique charm and appeal.
For those who love being one with nature, there are two A-frame homes and two caravans. Although very camper-like, these accommodations have that tasteful touch of boho chic that elevate them into “glamping” status.

The landscaping outside adds to the nature-themed allure. There are treehouses and camps abound, perfect for picnics.
Meanwhile, the caravan café and neighbouring glasshouse contribute to a rustic and cosy ambiance.
The grounds themselves are quite the experience. Guests can enjoy soft archery, unwind in shaded tents, or interact with ducks and goats that occasionally roam the property.

A stroll on the luxe side
For those seeking luxury with tranquility, the villa side of the property is a dream come true.
Although more opulent in its offerings, they still incorporate natural elements, blending beautifully with the lush surroundings of Templer Park and Bukit Takun, which looms in the distance.

If you’re looking for some peace of mind, be sure to pass through the courtyard that features lush greenery as well as a small Koi pond.
Offering lovely views of the courtyard is the sitting room inside the villa. Featuring a conversation pit, this space is filled with natural tones, with some textural dynamism added by elements such as the unique rattan collection of light fixtures, which draws the eyes upwards.

With a plethora of plush pillows, this sunlit spot is perfect for relaxing quietly with a book.
The Tropical Rooms, located within the main villa, take a more minimalist approach, incorporating rattan and wood tones with touches of greenery. Some rooms even feature sky hammocks for a truly relaxing experience.
The Villa Takun Hall, with its natural limestone finish and cream tones, offers a visually calming space ideal for lounging or small events. Its dipping pool is left minimal, letting the landscape it looks out at speak for itself.

Although we weren’t able to visit the Villa Takun Suites on the day of our visit, it’s a must-visit for design lovers, what with their unique Marrakech-inspired design. Featuring warm hues and an infinity dipping pool, the Moroccan-style interiors are sure to impress.

A thoughtfully designed getaway
Villa Takun is more than just a retreat; it’s a testament to thoughtful and hospitable design.
Blending outdoorsy nature with luxurious comfort, it brings out a resort-like ambiance through use of materials such as wood and rattan. Warm and coastal, this hidden oasis in Rawang is sure to bring you a slice of serenity.
